5:20 that is a pure Mark Morton signature move. Along with the aggressive legato, with Mark you can still sometimes hear the downstrokes vs upstrokes, but Mark really emphasizing the upstrokes makes the LoG riffs really distinct. If it's not aggressive legato, no weakness in chugging at this pace, is a pure Mark Morton sound. Solid balance between upstrokes and downstrokes. Very important to practice for that signature LoG tone

I like the DC . My spec would be burstbucker pro+ in the bridge and a p90 in the neck. Satin worn cherry finish 60s neck.

I have one that was made a few months later. Looks like he has to set his bridge a little high too like mine. Neck angle must have been a little greater in 1987.

I know we all have different sounds in our heads but Slash on Appetite especially Mr Brownstone and Rocket Queen are two of my favorite recorded sounds of his. Those and Aerosmith Sweet Emotion are both the quintessential tones in my head..

Very cool!! I just bought a Gibson Slash Les Paul November Burst at the Garage in Nashville. I was looking for a 50’s or 60’s burst and I couldn’t really find one that called my name, in walks the salesman with this one and I’m not even a big fan of Slash and I just fell in love with the guitar!! It is awesome, stays tuned for ages, sound great, top notch quality!! Slash has a new fan now for sure!! 🙌🏻

I've got an 89. Very happy with it. Has an Alnico 2 in the neck and the original OBL in the bridge. Best neck on a Les Paul I've played in decades.

Wish it was more cherry like early 90s, when Slash hit the stage with that iconic guitar❤❤
